so i just read something about a current movie... thought it was pretty damned funny. i'll do a spoiler tag tho so i don't give anything away


so apparently, the end of this movie "Remember Me," which is i guess just your run of the mill sappy ass romance story (plus that douche from twilight is in it), involves the main character, i.e. vampire boy, sitting in his dad's office, about to make amends with him. you then learn that the office is in one of the WTC towers..... and the date is september 11, 2001. and that's how the movie ends. the big hinge of the movie, the plot device that causes the whole lost love scenario that every chick flick has to have, is the fucking 9/11 attacks. seems some people are up in arms about how offensive this is, and others either think it's a wonderful, moving film, or just don't really give a damn.


what's your take?

yeah, i think the statute of limitations is over. 9/11 was a tragedy but its not like they're trying to glorify the terrorists so people need to accept its part of history now.

One question. Why are you even watching this movie?

read teh post, dude... i'd never watch this movie simply because of how much i hate the twilight craze. my IE homepage is set to aol news, though, and this was one of their big stories the other day. i was just amazed by all the attention it was attracting because of this; i can't really understand why people got so damned upset over the whole deal. i was just wondering if any of you felt that outrage over something like this was justified, because honestly i don't see what the big deal is

one question....

yeah i figured somebody would catch that one too... my computer is almost completely fried... for varying reasons, it just winks out. the power is still on, but the screen and any music or anything running just flicks off, and i have to restart. there are a few different triggers, and web use is one of them; unfortunately, it's less tolerable of firefox at this point than ie... so i've been stuck using that microsoft junk until i can get the parts and stuff for a new comp
