Anyone fiddled with this yet? I just installed it yesterday and as everyone is probably aware it's just an improved version of Vista.

Some things I like:

They've made quick launch and the task bar more dynamic. Finally can rearrange things on the task bar and the interface is pretty smooth. Easy to put anything on to the quick launch or start menu (aka "pinning") and better flexibility with grouping. The system tray also has some extra options though not sure I like the new expansion arrow.

Haven't fiddled with the Briefcase feature yet, but that could be promising if it does what I think it does and let's you sync files between PC's.

Still has that gay ass UAC that pops up to annoy you occasionally though it loos like they added a Trusted feature so that it doesn't harass you about certain brands, so that helps a little...

Looks like they might've made networking a little smoother also, but have yet to toy with that as I'm still reinstalling all my old progs and files.'

Don't seem to have as much control with the Aero themes as I'd like, or haven't figured them out yet but there are some neat shortcuts they added like dragging things to the edges to expand them in different ways and shaking to minimize all other open windows.

Don't really have anything to complain about yet but that'll be sure to come.

Some other things I've noticed with my fiddlings:

Media center seems to work better. At least it's not sucking up half my resources all the time like it was on XP. Although I wish the 360 could stream online content like the PS3 does, specifically sites like Youtube/Hulu.

Some nice superficial changes. Gadgets no longer confiscate the right side of the screen like they did on Vista so that's a nice improvement. Makes deciding to use them less cumbersome. There's little glow animation over the task bar and the thumbnails aren't just still shots so that's cool. And now you can set your desktop wallpaper to alternate so that's neat for me as well as I never like staying with the same wallpaper for too long.

The pinning feature doesn't help when you want to open multiple instances of an application however. And I still haven't gotten used to the "show desktop" being on the right of the system tray now yet.

But so far, so good....
