 Pandora
Maur didn't know what Pandora is. Shocked, I am posting here to make sure no one doesn't know about the greatest gift to music. http://www.pandora.comIt's an Internet "Radio" site. Radio in quotes because they're 100% personalized stations. You give it a band or song you like, and it will play other songs like it. You then rate if you like or dislike the song, it then refines the station to play more music like your tastes. I have found so much new music in the nearly 3 years I've known about it. I've completely given up buying music, listening to real radio, and I don't even know where my iPod is anymore. I hope this is no new information for the majority of you guys, since it's so awesome.

 Re: Pandora
It's alright, though I've never really cared for the limit on the songs you can skip in an hour. Which is why I like last.fm better. I can just set my playlist to "My Neighborhood" and it will play songs that are similar to those I've played, but not necessarily ones I've heard before, yet you can also skip and ban whenever you want.

 Re: Pandora
Last.fm works for Europeans. Pandora does not. Easy.

 Re: Pandora
I used to use Pandora on my iPhone but the quality wasn't that great and I kept hearing the same songs over and over again so I gave it up for something called Tuner which has a ton of internet radio stations and streams better (at least imo).

 Re: Pandora
I don't think so.
Apok needs to add variety to his stations and it'll be solved. It's doing exactly what he told it to, it's playing music he likes. How much of the songs you hear too often were completely new to you when the station was created? The same can happen again, create another station with another song/band you like.
Last.fm is owned by Viacom. There was some controversy going around a month or so ago about them collecting data on people listening to the leaked U2 album and possibly perusing legal action. I'd much rather use a website fighting for our rights to listen to free music than big business.

 Re: Pandora
One of the iPhone commercials mention it also. Oh, and last.fm ftw? I think not. Apparently their parent company, CBS, gave the last.fm userdata to the RIAA. http://www.techcrunch.com/2009/05/22/deny-this-lastfm/Oh, and Pandora now allows unlimited skips for $3/month. Which I was paying anyway.

 Re: Pandora
What are the implications of that article? That the RIAA could use that info to persecute individuals?
